Steve Head

As President of CBI, Steve maintains continuous involvement in all aspects of the operation but with particular focus on construction management.  Steve oversees all office staff and field supertendents.  Steve spends much of his time making sure our people have the tools they need to exceed our customers' expections and he maintains client relationships.

Steve has nineteen years of commercial construction project management and estimating experience.  As a seasoned veteran in the business, there is not much he has not encountered.  His expertise brings our customers back.  Steve is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors in Building Construction Technology.  Chip and Steve hold a commercial General Contractors License in GA, AL, FL, MS, TN, KY, VA, TX, NC, SC, LA, WV and MD.


Dell Cornett

Dell handles most pre-construction activities with our clients. With his development, construction, and engineering background, Dell is equipped to help clients with site selection, preliminary site layouts, and pro-forma budgets.  Dell  also provides on-going consulting by helping clients with architect and engineer selection, or if preferred, he will handle all aspects of a design-build project, including re-zoning, soil & environmental investigations, hiring the engineering and architecture firms and permit expediting.  Once construction documents have been prepared, Dell handles all project estimating and contract negotiations, he then turns the project over to Greg, Steve and the office staff.

Dell has over ten years of management and engineering experience in commercial construction specializing in design, cost analysis, and budgeting.  Dell graduated in 1996 from Covenant College with a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Science Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics and in 1999 from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering.


Greg Smith

Greg has over six years management and experience in commercial construction.  As a project manager, Greg is responsible for overseeing the total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the design, budget, and schedule.  This includes one on one contact with client representatives and subcontractors.  Greg plans, coordinates and supervises field activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s), authorizes/approves all project purchase requisitions and change requests.  Greg is responsible for bringing the project in on time and on budget. Greg graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, specialization in "Construction Management" from Auburn University.


Chip Evans

Chip has a background of twenty-two years combined experience in residential development and construction, civil engineering design, insurance loss prevention and ground-up & remodel commercial construction.  Chip's experience is primarily with restaurants, retail, gas station / convenience stores and travel centers.  Chip graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University and in 2009 with a Master of Arts in Missiology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
